Area Law Enforcement
Roughly fifty cars have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Cars, walls and mailboxes were defaced, occasionally with swastikas, they announced in a statement.
Law enforcement say they were contacted during the night on Wednesday evening, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued fluid.
The liquid had been applied in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.
Law enforcement then located numerous other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the surrounding area.
Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation outlawing the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.
Law enforcement say preliminary tests indicate the fluid was probably blood from a person.
"There is still no indication as to where it came from; authorities are not yet informed of any harm in relation with the event," they stated.
Municipal representatives announced they were trying "to solve the mystery" and have appealed to the community for details.
An important political figure said the vandalism left him stunned and needed to be resolved rapidly.
"This incident hits the center of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on social media, mentioning the killing of nine people by a gunman focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
