The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
